Cubii is actively looking for a Controller to manage all day-to-day accounting processes while helping to scale the company in this newly created role by developing, implementing, and managing financial processes and controls. This person will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with all areas of the business.

In addition to technical skills, Cubii is looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and learn about all aspects of the business in order to drive greater company success, who demonstrates respect and empathy for both customers and team members, and who can articulate why they have a passion for what they do.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions including: Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Maintaining compliance with GAAP
  • Assisting with implementation of and transition to NetSuite or similar package (from QBO)
  • Coordinating and preparing in a timely manner internal and external financial statements and presenting results to management with relevant analyses, including performance to budget and prior year
  • Coordinating activities of external auditors
  • Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
  • Assisting with the budget process
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics; preparing management reports
  • Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning, sales tax reporting, and compliance
  • Managing outsourced accounting staff
  • Preparing reports to the company’s lenders, including the borrowing base, financial statements and covenant compliance certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including maintaining financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA)
  • Experience with accounting software migration a plus
