What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Controller to take on a key leadership role in a dynamic and fast-paced technology company. You’ll lead our accounting department, and work closely with the executive team to set and execute the company’s strategy. The role provides an opportunity to fast track your growth and development in an organization with a mission that has real positive social impact, in addition to aggressive business goals.

You will be accountable for managing the company’s financials and supporting executive decision making.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, revenue recognition, and payroll
Coordinate and direct the financial close process including full-cycle monthly and year-end accounting
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to Board of Directors and other external stakeholders
Supervise staff accountant, and plan for organizational growth
Maintain cash flow forecast and regular analysis of cash requirements
Implement, document, and maintain internal controls and financial & accounting processes in compliance with GAAP and stakeholder covenants
Oversee stock option and capitalization administration
Manage external vendors, including audit, tax and valuation efforts
Prepare audited financial statements in compliance with company policies, GAAP and SEC independence rules
Manage annual budgeting process, maintain rolling forecast, and report variances
Lead technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, ASC 606, economic nexus, and other standards changes
Comply with federal, state, and local governments’ legal and reporting requirements and filings
Oversee all HR functions—employee onboarding, terminations, benefits administration, workers compensation, unemployment claims, and 401K administration
Qualifications:
CPA certification
Experience in a position equivalent to a controller, with a proven track of implementing accounting best practices
Strong technical accounting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Experience and interest in working cross-functionally
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Public accounting experience a plus
Experience with NetSuite a plus
