Job Description

DigitalMint is looking for a highly-motivated Controller to oversee our financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, treasury, tax, and audits. You will report to the President of the company and refine accounting policies and procedures and manage our financial health. Successful candidates are passionate about cryptocurrency and have a strong desire to work in a dynamic startup environment.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee all accounting activities for dissemination of financial management reports including:
  • Monthly financial statements
  • G/L entries
  • Account reconciliations
  • Accounting for revenue
  • Quarterly analysis
  • Annual audits and annual budgets
  • Year-end tax return preparation
  • Accounts payable
  • Purchase orders
  • Cash control
  • Payroll processing
  • Equity
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and software tools through Xero.
• Align and execute budgeting and performance goals on a monthly and annual basis
• Establish and maintain best practice accounting policies, procedures, controls, and risk management
• Analyze complex accounting for revenue product flow and cryptocurrency accounts
• Account for stock compensation expense
• Advise staff regarding the handling of non*routine reporting transactions
• Perform cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Open and close financial statements every month (Income Statement and Balance Sheet)
• Prepare financial reporting for board and investors
• Evaluate, implement, and deploy scalable financial systems and processes.

What We’re Looking For

• 4-8 years of hands-on accounting and/or accounting managerial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Masters degree in Accounting-related field is preferred
• CPA certification is preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work in a hyper*growth culture
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in G-Suite, QuickBooks and budgeting software
• Experience with managing annual audit with an external auditor
• Treasury management experience including reconciliation of complex cash transactions and payment processing services.
• Experience with tracking/reporting foreign currency transactions
