Overview

The Digital Revenue Analyst will work with revenue center management as well as operational managers
and teams, and the tronc finance team to document and monitor tronc digital product revenue. The
analyst will help provide operating managers with objective analysis of plans, forecasts, goals, strategies
and investments. The Digital Revenue Analyst will be a point of reference for central and regional
management about monetization and revenue recognition for tronc digital properties.
The Digital Revenue Analyst should be knowledgeable about multiple reporting source tools and have
the ability to combine and normalize data from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will possess the
ability to effectively communicate the meaning of metrics and results to members of the organization,
from sales reps to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales, operations, and product management teams to report on revenue from various monetization channels; will create models to show effects of changes to products
  • Influence management by supplying analysis that assists in data driven decision making
  • Work with Digital Operations and Development to investigate new software and processes to     standardize and automate reporting responsibilities and increase capabilities
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting on site and product use, revenue, and yield
  • Work with channel and area managers on period reporting to plans and forecasts
  • Review of monthly financial statements and perform monthly variance analysis.
  • Work with central finance and accounting teams to ensure revenue from digital partners is properly recognized
  • Contribute to the development of the annual operating plan by organizing and developing budgets, models and analyses for specific departments and account categories.
  • Actively participate in significant long range project committees/task forces. Provide the project manager with financial analysis, assistance in evaluating the proposed operating changes for consistency with Company strategic goals.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 2-4 years of financial analyis experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Hyperion and Oracle experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to learn new software tools with minimal training
  • Ability to work with a variety of employees in various levels of the organization
  • Ability to craft reports and presentations that will clearly relay metrics and the results of analyses to persons in various levels of the organization
