Bento is seeking a talented financial analyst to drive business analytics at one of the most innovative B2B Financial Service companies in the country. We are looking for a finance or accounting whiz with SQL savvy, experienced at leveraging data to drive key business insights and enhance company performance. Responsibilities

  • Develop and report on current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures; particular emphasis on financial services and SaaS metrics
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to drive consistency in sales funnel and customer analytics
  • Enable robust financial planning & analysis function, inclusive of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, pricing strategy, cost optimization and board reporting
  • Prepare 13-week cash flow and 12-month rolling financial forecast
  • Support Leadership Team with in-depth ad hoc analyses to provide accurate and timely recommendations regarding critical business decisions and processes
  • Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and Leadership Team, as well as current and prospective investors
  • Interface with Engineering and Product counterparts to understand impact of all sprints and new product releases on production database and reporting tools; trouble-shoot issues
  • Lead FP&A special projects and initiatives throughout the company, as directed
  • Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement
  • Take a hands-on role in selected operational activities of the business
  • Execute assigned activities in support of timely month-end close
  • Bridge selected accounting functions, as needed, due to vacation, illness or other finance team constraints
  • Assist in maintaining bank, audit, tax and other external service relationships pertaining to accounting and finance
  • Manage capital planning/spending and tracking
  • Support investor, lender and treasury management reporting & communication

What You'll Need

  • 3-5 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or 2+ years consulting experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL to generate reporting and analytics
  • 3+ years of experience in working with DataViz e.g.: Tableau, Quicksight, Chart.IO etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to derive practical business insights from complex data sets
  • Ability to work with senior leaders and clearly articulate process gaps, roadblocks, and a path forward
  • Experience leveraging technology to design and implement efficient and effective business processes
  • Team orientation with strong collaboration and communications skills
  • Experience in a rapid growth environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Hands-on experience with ERP system design and process flows
  • Familiarity with the Payments, Banking or Fintech industries a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance or Accounting
