As Manager, Tax & Treasury, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Relativity’s U.S. Federal, State, local and international tax compliance activities and Treasury-related functions. The Manager, Tax & Treasury works under general direction of senior team members.

Role Responsibilities


  • Tax

  • Manage the annual Federal and State tax filings and payments, including preparation of the annual Federal tax provision
  • Perform taxable income projections and assist with the calculation of quarterly estimated tax payments
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits by Federal, State and local tax authorities, as needed
  • Manage state sales and use tax compliance and evaluate state nexus exposure
  • Manage all international tax and entity-specific compliance activities
  • Support the quarterly and annual VAT filing process for Relativity’s foreign entities
  • Review monthly, quarterly and annual foreign corporate tax filings
  • Collaborate with Relativity’s tax advisors and third-party service providers
  • Prepare internal memos to document Relativity’s tax positions and policies
  • Stay up-to-date with developing tax regulations
  • Support the quarterly and annual financial audit process
  • Manage tax planning strategies, evaluate risks and communicate recommended tax position to senior team members, as needed
  • Treasury

  • Maintain external relationships with financial institutions and 3rd party service providers
  • Manage cash forecast and perform regular cash analysis 
  • Administer banking platforms and all domestic and international bank accounts
  • Monitor cash balances and analyze cash position daily to meet future cash commitments
  • Direct the movement of excess cash to and from investment accounts
  • Evaluate bank services, products, fees and performance, and recommend appropriate action
  • Maintain policies and strong internal controls over the treasury function
  • Recommend and implement improvements to current cash management processes

Preferred qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of tax, accounting and finance principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Licensed CPA preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented and works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent research skills

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience working in general corporate or public accounting

Supervision

  • Manage relationships with third party accountants and service providers
  • May be required to build out and manage team as company continues to grow (potential future responsibility)
