Job Description

We are hiring an Assistant Business Manager who will immediately play an integral role at Leftbrain. You will report directly to the CEO and take over many client facing responsibilities, ranging from onboarding clients to managing client relations, inquiries, and emergencies. You will also take over a great deal of accounting and finance related projects. Being a small and fast-growing company, the scope of your work will likely be quite broad.

Throughout your projects you’ll receive support from a small, yet experienced team with 10+ years’ experience as a finance executive in the music industry and 15+ years as an artist manager in the music industry. This is an opportunity to join an extremely fast-growing company at its beginning stages and learn first-hand from experts in the industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with 2-3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to proficiently and simply communicate complex issues.
  • Personable, charismatic, thrives on client interaction, and able to develop and maintain relationships with both clients and stakeholders.
  • Extremely proficient in Excel and general accounting software.
  • Cursory understanding of tax and payroll concepts and able to make appropriate decisions and recommendations based on this understanding.
  • Curious, willing to learn, and able to innovate using new knowledge.
  • Extremely organized and driven self-starter with an attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA
  • QuickBooks Online and Bill.com experience
  • Cash flow management experience
  • Experience in customer service-based industry/position

We are currently based out of Chicago and are relocating to Los Angeles in the Spring of 2020. Applicants should be able to relocate along with Leftbrain, and compensation for relocation will be provided.
