We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing global workforce based in Chicago. A strong candidate for this role will be a professional who has a great attention to detail to focus on all aspects of the accounting practices, particularly cost containment and report generating.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting duties in accounts payable, cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, and other duties as assigned including reconciliation of accounts 
• Assist accounting department with month end close projects and procedures
• Assist with financial statement audits
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reporting in cash management and forecasts, costs, and expenses
• Manage the account structure for the global balance sheet
• Fixed assets responsibilities include booking fixed assets’ transactions in the general ledger, calculating and maintaining depreciation schedules
• Multiple currency ledger responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries
• Month end close responsibilities include performing account reconciliations and analysis and preparing financial statements
• Daily, weekly, and monthly report preparation, including daily house currency exposure, liquid assets report

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, with CPA
• 7 years of accounting experience within the Trading Operations, Financial or Capital Markets
• Experience working in a global office with an overseas balance sheet
• Experience managing multiple ledgers in foreign currency
• Public accounting (Big 4) experience highly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Sun, and Concur
• Sound understanding of GAAP
• Experience with financial statements’ audits, forecasting, and budgeting
• Knowledge of SAP, Tableau, and Salesforce
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
