Senior Accountant
About The Role
The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and recording financial transactions in NetSuite. This position executes the monthly accounting cycle and ensures that all financial statement data is ready for reporting and analysis by the month-end close deadline.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing bank activity, corporate credit card transactions, expense reports, vendor invoices and client contracts
- Maintain interrelated systems of record, supplier portal access / invoice submission, expense reporting approval processes, enforcement of T&E policy and sales tax compliance
- Administer full spectrum of NetSuite revenue management module, deferred revenue and major recurring payables such as insurance and cell data for hardware inventory
- Maintain GL accounts by verifying allocations, completing bank and credit card reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with documenting procedures for internal reference as well as for employee guidance in Confluence
- Assist with providing diligence related to external audit
What We're Looking For
- 3 plus years of operational accounting experience and high-level MS Excel proficiency
- Experience with NetSuite is very strongly preferred
- Drive to excel and willingness to work longer hours to complete tasks under deadlines
- Strong discretion – certain information dealt with is sensitive and or confidential
- Attention to detail and hands-on experience with GAAP compliant accounting methods
- This role frequently communicates/interacts with individuals, must have strong written and oral communication skills
