Job Description

DigitalMint is seeking a driven Accountant who has a passion for technology and working with people to solve problems. You will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, developing department budgets, and generating cost reports. Our ideal candidate will collect information for third-party audits, oversee financial reporting and operations, and will be DigitalMint’s point of contact for accounting issues. You will be a key contributor in helping to improve our accounting processes, which will lead to increased efficiency and added value.

What You’ll Do

• Revenue and financial reporting:
  • Daily, weekly and monthly AR aging
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Annual audits
  • Tax filings
  • Other ad hoc reporting that may be needed by our customers and management
• Process partner payments on a daily basis via checks, ACHs, and wires
• Manage electronic filing system and evolve procedures to improve efficiencies, processes, and systems
• Identify improvements on the workflow and collaborate with the internal business teams and managers to implement the necessary changes
• Read and understand technical forms and financial reports
• Assist in month-end close, including account reconciliations and other month-end close duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree, Accounting emphasis preferred
• 2-5 years of Accounting or related experience
• Big 4 accounting experience a plus
• GAAP Auditing experience a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required (basic formulas, vlookups, and pivot tables)
• CPA is preferred
• Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to lead accounting & finance projects
• Experience with software tools, specifically Xero (month-end close, receivables, payables, journal entries, financial statements creation, etc)
• Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration/interpersonal skills
• Solid knowledge of accounting terminology and practices
• Robust organizational and analytical skills
