GoHealth is looking for an experienced Commission Accounting Analyst to join their Commissions and Operations team. The analyst will be working with business stakeholders, as well as senior agency personnel, to audit and deliver carrier commissions in a timely and accurate manner. Due to the dynamic nature of the position and growth of GoHealth, the candidate should be a self-starter, who can work autonomously, as well as have a keen problem-solving ability and willingness to undertake any task.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a subject matter expert in GoHealth’s business processes, especially as it pertains to commissions across each carrier and business unit
  • Own and develop organizational controls, such as quality control measures, as well as creating an improved and efficient commission payment process
  • Process new business and renewal commissions for each respective non-captive carrier – including procuring commission statements, preparing commission run ledgers for finance and closing commission runs
  • Subject matter expert as it pertains to commissions, addressing questions from agencies, partners, and business stakeholders
  • Continually think of new ways data-based insights can help support GoHealth’s processes and improve decision-making
  • Communicate analytical insights, both verbally and visually
  • Oversight and ownership of ad-hoc analysis and audits
  • Mentor junior members of the team

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or another General Business focused field
  • 3+ years in a finance or accounting role and/or an advanced degree in business administration
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required, experience with Tableau or business intelligence software preferred
  • Experience with an insurance and/or healthcare environment, with some degree of focus on commissions and/or sales is preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with senior business stakeholders, as well as senior agency personnel
  • Desire to improve upon current skills and learn new ones
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently with limited oversight
