Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral part of the Finance team, responsible for providing financial analysis for the Commercial teams. The Analyst will be responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting and business analysis that will be used to better enable the company to grow the profitability of the business. The position will interact heavily with all levels of leadership and report to the Commercial Controller. Essential Functions

  • Support assigned functional areas with the monthly forecast, annual plan, and 3 year strategic financial plan
  • Prepare monthly financial reports comparing actual results with plan and forecast for assigned functional areas
  • Analyze results and identify trends in order to provide recommended actions to Management
  • Prepare monthly presentations for business leaders and attend monthly business review meetings
  • Provide financial reporting support to the Business Analysts and Business Users
  • Lead the development and management of dashboards and score cards to support leadership in monitoring performance of critical processes, plans and forecasts
  • Prepare Ad hoc reports to support management queries in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
  • Cross train as back-ups for other staff in the case of emergencies
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending trainings/workshops

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-undergraduate experience in related fields.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel & Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Cognos, SQL, or other relational database and BI products a plus.
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Talent in synthesizing data and communicating effectively both orally and in writing with people at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively and effectively as part of a team.
