Role Description:
The Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the preparation and filing of all external reporting requirements required by GAAP and the SEC, including the 10K, 10-Q and 8-K and researching technical accounting issues. They will also support quarterly reviews and the annual audit and research, interpret and implement accounting issues and new standards and work on various projects related to the growing Finance organization.
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management, preparation, accuracy and timely submission of the Company's Form 10-K and 10-Q filings, including XBRL, with the SEC and maintaining the external reporting calendar.
Perform analytical review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
Coordinate with external specialists (i.e., valuation specialists, actuaries, etc.) on critical accounting estimates and related assumptions, along with control documentation over the review of inputs to financial models.
Monitor and prepare position papers on new accounting and disclosure requirements as well as non-routine transactions, leading company-wide implementation, where necessary. Remain current on pending accounting guidance, evaluating the financial implications of proposed/new accounting pronouncements.
Coordinate with the accounting group to make changes to system structure, including new entities, accounts or segment rollups to facilitate a more efficient close process and ensure adherence to SEC and US GAAP financial reporting requirements.
Ensure that all accounting policies are in accordance with GAAP and are consistently followed throughout the organization. Draft and update Corporate Accounting Policies, as needed throughout the year.
Assist to develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with internal controls related to accounting policies and new accounting and reporting guidance issued by the FASB and the SEC.
Maintain compliance with the Company's external reporting internal controls, document the current process, assess any control gaps and implement changes needed. Manage records retention and maintenance for all external reporting files.
Assist in preparing senior management and audit committee communications.
Benchmark best practices to ensure reporting practices are leading among industry peers. Identify and deliver internal process improvements to continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of the reporting process.
Serve as the primary contact with external auditors for quarterly and annual request lists associated with the consolidated financial statement audits.
Coordinate with the appropriate external vendors (i.e., filing software, printer, etc.) regarding their services.

Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in U.S. GAAP, SEC and SOX 404 rules
Active Disclosure and Workday skills preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills

Minimum Required Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
7-8 years total experience in accounting/auditing
Current experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm or in a SEC Reporting function for a publicly traded company
CPA
XBRL experience and Advanced Excel skills required
US work authorization
