Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Global Client Tax Service Group. The Global Client Tax Services Group provides tax preparation and reporting services to affluent individuals and families, foundations, endowments, and corporations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various initiatives aimed at improving tax-related processes, compliance, and efficiency. This role will drive the successful execution of projects that streamline our tax processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of technology solutions that align with tax requirements and banking regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead end-to-end project management for tax-related initiatives, including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and requirements, ensuring alignment with the department's strategic objectives.
3. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, while considering potential risks and mitigation strategies.
4. Manage project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
5. Lead initiatives to implement operational changes prompted by updates to tax laws and regulations.
6. Coordinate process reengineering efforts and oversee their execution.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and any relevant compliance documentation.
8. Coordinate the design, development, testing, and deployment of technology solutions that support tax-related processes and regulatory compliance.
9. Manage the design, build, and updates of departmental SharePoint sites.
10. Foster strong relationships with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
The successful candidate will benefit from having the following competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • • 3+ years of end-to-end project management experience.
  • • Proficiency in project management tools, software development methodologies, and reporting techniques.
  • • Proven track record of successfully managing projects within the financial services sector.
  • • Relevant certificates such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile certification are a plus.
  • • Experience with designing and managing the implementation of SharePoint sites.
  • • Experience using any of the following are a plus: SQL, R, Python or Power BI.
  • • Basic knowledge of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests are a plus.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
