Senior Tax Manager

Thoughtworks is seeking a proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative Tax Manager to take responsibility for US federal, state, and local tax compliance as well as the quarterly tax provision process. Leveraging external experience, best practices, technology and innovation the Tax Manager will help drive enhancements to the existing tax function to support continuous and sustainable growth.

What you can do?

The Tax Manager will be part of the Global Tax Team; specific responsibilities include:

• Manage in-house process for filing of U.S. federal and state income and local tax returns, including U.S. tax reporting of non-U.S. operations; quarterly estimated tax calculations and payments
• Manage preparation of monthly / quarterly global tax provision calculation pursuant to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, including collaboration with non-U.S. Finance teams
• Work with Corporate Accounting team on tax related financial statement accounts 
• Support tax initiatives and special projects
• Provide assistance with tax audits
• Coach, mentor, and develop tax skills of Senior Tax Analyst

What you bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Master’s degree in taxation or accounting and/or CPA preferred
• At least 6-years of relevant corporate, federal income tax experience
• ASC 740 experience
• Proficiency in corporate tax compliance software, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE preferred
• Advanced Excel capabilities
• Strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and complete assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis
