the job

The Sourcing Manager will direct purchase planning for multiple jobs, which are either project or account based. This person will work directly with Business Development, VP of Strategic Sourcing, external agencies, and suppliers to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that ensures quality and competitive pricing. The Sourcing Manager will be held accountable to year over year growth and expansion within the North American market and oversee and develop a high volume of solution proposals for multiple projects.

responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing of the client’s jobs on budget, on time, and with the highest level of service and quality.
• Gather job requirements and perform procurement and project management of campaigns or projects with understanding of the client’s objectives.
• Manage communication channels to ensure smooth workflow.
• Oversee specifications for the account to ensure all client requirements, quality expectation, availability and required delivery dates are clearly identified.
• Supervise the preparation of requests for bid specifications and the sending to selected vendors. Ensure that savings targets are being hit.
• Investigate potential suppliers and recommend those most desirable based on knowledge of manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities and schedule availability.
• Assign and prioritize projects, set goals and timelines, and communicate progress to VP of Implementation and Business Development team.
• Handle disputes with suppliers; partners with Supplier Relations team.
• Oversee ongoing review of existing accounts and how to improve.
• Work with satellite offices on an as need basis for subject matter support.
• Partner with the VP of Strategic Sourcing to understand the ongoing priorities of the department.

requirements

• 7-10 years of sourcing and purchasing experience, either in the large format digital and or/silk screen production.
• Experience in purchasing and/or selling synthetic large format raw materials for print production.
• Strong leadership and direct client interfacing experience. 
• Strong experience working with suppliers to negotiate job cost, schedules, supply chain for synthetic large format raw materials.  
• Independent thinking, strong organization, and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proven project management experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly proficient with MS Office software; high aptitude for Excel.
• Entrepreneurial minded with an internal drive to continuously hit goals and succeed.
• Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.
