As an Sr Analyst you would support our Corporate Accounting function, you will help navigate and solve complex accounting issues related to topics such as mergers and acquisitions, goodwill impairment, revenue recognition, earnings per share, internal controls, and share-based compensation. You will also be a key contributor in the completion of both internal and external financial reporting requirements, GAAP research, and writing and reviewing technical memos for our auditors.
This role will support others including our external specialists, investor relations, and FP&A on financial presentations for senior leadership and the audit & compliance committee as well as quarterly earnings releases and investor presentations, internal controls and various other special projects as needed. This role is expected to develop into an Advisor position, with greater responsibility for project management.
What You'll Bring:
- BS or BA in Accounting/Finance
- 4-7 years of public accounting and/or financial reporting experience
- CPA required
- Demonstrated experience navigating purchase accounting, EPS, or other technical accounting GAAP
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced matrix environment, able to navigate through the complexity of resolving issues as they arise
- Demonstrated strong communications, analytical and system skills

Impact You'll Make:
- Responsible for research, preparing analyses and technical accounting whitepapers, as well as review of prepared whitepapers documenting our evaluations related to various accounting issues, such as goodwill impairment, segment reporting, mergers & acquisitions, and minority investments (cost & equity method), among others.
- Develop, prepare, confirm, tie-out, streamline, and review detailed financial models relating to share-based compensation, earnings per share, and forecasted financial information for our acquisitions. Document the results of our team's review for SOX purposes.
- Assist in preparing reports, analyses, and schedules supporting our internal and external financial reporting obligations, including quarterly SEC filings, earnings releases, investor relations presentations, and internal management reports. Provide valuable review feedback to improve the overall quality of our disclosures.
- Partner with team members to identify roadblocks and troubleshoot urgent priorities.
- Proactively analyze and identify key areas for process improvement, develop and direct implementation of solutions for the areas identified.
- Support segment accounting on various technical accounting matters, and especially purchase accounting matters, such as preparing and reviewing closing statements, evaluation of acquisition target's accounting policies, supporting financial due diligence, determining purchase consideration, and contingent consideration accounting.
- Demonstrate ability to project manage, including coordinating with external valuation firm, auditors, and others. Assist in the information gathering, evaluation, coordination and review of fair value allocation reports prepared by our external specialists. Responsible for ensuring fair value accounting has been applied correctly.
- Act as a key contact to outside auditors for interim reviews and year-end audits, including preparing, collecting and compiling information in support of auditor requests.
- Lead updates to accounting policies, processes and controls for changes in accounting standards (such as leases, CECL)
- Assist with testing and implementation of various financials system enhancements.
- Assist with various special projects and other duties as assigned
- Ensures that financial statements and disclosures are prepared timely and in accordance with company policy, GAAP and SEC requirements
