IDEAL CANIDATE
The ideal candidate for this role is someone energetic, assertive, and enthusiastic who has an accounting degree with one to two years of accounting experience. CPA/CPA Candidate and Intacct experience preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY
The staff accountant’s primary responsibility is to work directly with the Controller. They will assist in ensuring that the financial statements and accounting reports are accurate and up to date throughout the month.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter transactions into the Accounting General Ledger software
- Enter and process ACH and Wires
- Review and document bank account transactions and reconcile bank accounts
- Process Accounts Payable and Receivables
- Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliations and reports
- Work with other team members to provide solutions to our clients
- Create and maintain up to date files with confidential information
- Assist with other miscellaneous accounting projects assigned by Controller
REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- Positive attitude and excellent organizational and communication skills – must be a team player!
- Firm understanding of accrual accounting
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Able to successfully perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong ability to multi-task and juggle multiple responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality required
