Overview

tronc, Inc.  is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Intern to provide financial, analytical, and strategic support within the Corporate Planning and Analysis department. 

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure within a corporate Finance/Accounting team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist with 2019 Operating Plan preparation, forecast and process improvement projects, capital planning, and assist on ad-hoc requests and projects.  This summer position will allow you to work with leaders on projects involving financial modeling, long-range planning, forecast/process improvement projects, and deep dive analysis.  In this role, you will have exposure to our FP&A leadership team and CFO, work on deliverables to influence business decisions, and gain an insight into the media industry and FP&A. 

Potential candidates should be available to commit to a full time position during the summer (approx. May-August) with the opportunity to continue on during the fall if school/schedule allows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting **Must be enrolled in an accredited program
• CPA candidates preferred
• Sophomore standing or above
• Completed coursework in accounting, corporate finance, economics, strategy
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• GPA of a 3.5 or above
