Position Description

Enodo is looking for a talented data engineering intern to join our fast-moving, lean product development team. The intern will be responsible for building large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines leveraging data processing frameworks, utilizing best practices in continuous integration and delivery, and helping drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality. Our platform is built using Python, PostgreSQL and Vue.js. Any code developed will need to be in Python and compatible with our existing framework.
 

The primary focus of this role will be on engineering a strong data pipeline to facilitate analysis by our data science team. Responsibilities will include the following:
 

• Data pipeline/process management, including the organization and structuring of data sources from many disparate sources
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Database design and management using PostgreSQL
• Continual research of data structuring techniques, and striving to incorporate industry best practices for the betterment of the platform
• Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant performance tracking
• Developing methods to collect and analyze user inputs from a Web-based front end for analysis within the platform
• Developing a solid understanding of the parameters that drive success in real estate investment and development
• Working and communicating effectively with an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers and real estate industry experts
   

Education and Experience

• Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, entering your sophomore, junior, or senior year
• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Be able to provide a copy of your college transcripts upon request
• Must be knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques
• Proficiency in Python scripting, pulling data from APIs and interacting with a PostgreSQL database is essential
• Adherent to Agile software processes and data-driven development
• Prior experience aggregating and structuring geographical data is a big advantage
• Understanding of GitHub and software version control
• Working knowledge of web development HTML, CSS, JavaScript
