Who We Are

Networked Insights deploys the latest technologies and techniques in the big data and data science to helps marketers from the world’s biggest brands and agencies understand their customers, inform their media spend, invent new products, drive amazing creative campaigns and improve their targeting by providing game-changing insights no other technology company can provide. 

We develop state of the art solutions on top of three platforms. The first is a streaming analytic platform that ingest billions of data points a day. Within this platform we have industrialized machine learning techniques by deploying machine trained predictors to enrich data with thousands of labels. Secondly, we a cloud hybrid big data platform to power our data as a service business and software as a service business. Finally, a web application platform the allows for Networked Insights to quickly deploy new solutions into the market place.

What You’ll Do

As a data science and analytics intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to design, evaluation, and maintenance of various reports, analytics, and learners which support Networked Insights’ products. Some of these live in our streaming analytics platform, others in our cloud-batch platform. All our colleagues enjoy a sense of ownership in their work, and this will be no different for our interns. You will sit among a team of highly experience engineers, analysts, and scientists - and will be tasked with creating intelligent systems which find meaning in unstructured data.

What You’ll Need

• Ideally Junior level status toward an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Economics, Linguistics, Math, Engineering, selected Sciences, or related degree, with at least a 3.0 GPA
• Competency coding in Python or R
• Demonstrated experience statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning either in the classroom, or better yet, on your own or with a group of friends
• Avid learner who is able to grasp new concepts and learn new technologies quickly
• Courage to jump head-first into technical problems on day one
• Excited about the Big Data revolution, with a passion for translating huge collections of data into actionable insights
• Knowledge of any other key technologies in our stack is a plus, including Cloud tools (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux, REST webservices, SQL, or NoSQL
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies is helpful as well such as Spark, Beam/Dataflow, or BigQuery
• Awareness of industry standard libraries such as Pandas, SciPy, Sklearn, Keras, Tensorflow
