The Position

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Intern for the Summer of 2018 to work at our office in Skokie, IL. Our internship program is a 10-12 week full-time paid position ($15 an hour, 40 hours per week) that will focus on building our digital marketing presence from the ground up. Start and end dates are flexible.

What You Will Accomplish

You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Digital Marketing and will be given the freedom to innovate and test new ideas at a rapidly growing startup. After you’ve completed your internship, you can expect to have accomplished the following:

• Assisted with defining and executing our email marketing and social media promotion strategy
• Created content marketing pieces and and social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest) and tracked the growth in user engagement
• Performed SEO and keyword audits for our digital presence on Amazon and Google to improve product and brand visibility
• Maintained a social media engagement analytics dashboard to monitor our performance and growth across all channels
• Identified optimization opportunities for our content and product pages based on our digital analytics, qualitative data, and A/B testing outcomes
• Worked closely with an experienced entrepreneurial team and gained invaluable knowledge about how the eCommerce industry works

Qualifications

Professional

• Undergraduate or recent grad in Marketing, Communications, English or a related field

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and photography
• Avid personal user of social media platforms
• Innovative mindset with a knack for understanding brands and their target audiences
• Proficient in basic Excel data crunching
• Prior marketing experience either through paid/unpaid internships, work experience, or extracurricular activities

Position Details

• $15 per hour
• 40 hours a week; Monday through Friday 10 AM - 6 PM
• Office is located in Skokie, Illinois
