The position

Paylocity is searching for motivated interns for their accounting, finance and corporate development groups. As a fast growing publically traded technology company, Paylocity offers interns exposure to a variety of experiences, including:

  • Assisting the corporate development team with financial modeling and preparation of PowerPoint presentations related to potential acquisitions
  • Working with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in creating the annual budget, quarterly financial forecasts and preparing analysis on key financial metrics
  • Helping the corporate accounting team with month-end close procedures, billing and various other accounting-related duties
  • Gaining an understanding of what it means to be a public company, including exposure to Securities & Exchange Commission ("SEC") filings, the preparation of financial guidance and exposure to investor relations activities
  • Researching competitive industry dynamics, including gaining an understanding of financial performance and financial results of key industry peers

Experience and Skills:

Experience and Skills

  • A major in Finance or Accounting, completion of Junior year required
  • G.P.A of 3.5/4.0 or higher
  • Demonstrated involvement in clubs, activities or professional organizations
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working in an office environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communication, writing and organizational skills
