Information Security Intern- Unpaid

This unique opportunity is open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing a career in
Information Security.
As an Information Security intern, you will have the opportunity to use your education to tackle real
world challenges. You will be given multiple assignments that will introduce you to several Information
Security functions/domains. Below are the types of opportunities you may be exposed to during your
internship:

Information Security Intern Opportunities

•  Assist with the monitoring and reporting on the DLP controls.
• Assist with the maintenance of the Patch and Vulnerability management program.
• Support the security awareness training program by scheduling training for employees across
• the organization and reviewing phishing test report. Support ISO 27001 implementations or the support of existing Information Security
• Management Systems throughout Infutor. Activities could include helping to perform risk
• assessments, implementing controls, designing metrics for measurement, and supporting
• internal audits.
• Exposure and limited hands-on to monitoring and response technologies such as SIEM and
• Cloud-based monitoring tools.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of information security controls and
• processes.
• Perform ongoing control audits
• Perform special projects and/or activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Familiar with Google Suite
• Basic information security / information systems methodology knowledge.
• Knowledge of Security control standards.
