The Market Research and Business Development Intern will work in close collaboration with various functional teams, including sales, marketing, and enrollment, to collect data and deliver reports that help drive the strategic direction of All Campus. We’re looking for a contributor with an exceptional attention to detail when it comes to data collection and report assembly. The successful intern will develop a strong understanding of All Campus’s goals, services, and departmental operations while building professional internal and external relationships that meet All Campus core values and culture.

The Market Research and Business Development Intern will provide support for the Market Research and Business Development teams. For the Market Research team, the Market Research and Business Development Intern will assist in executing custom market research studies related to market viability of university degree programs, trends in online education, and other related aspects of higher education. The Intern will be responsible for data collection and providing professional reporting and insights to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail when it comes to data collection as well as the ability to see the big picture. For the Business Development team, the Market Research and Business Development Intern will provide support for the team to help prospect new clients and business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be able to follow guidelines to complete new projects, jump into existing projects, work independently on research and initiate communication to potential clients.

This is a part-time position, approximately 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling due to class schedule or other needs, with the ability to be up to a 40-hour per week internship during school breaks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Market Research and Marketing
    • Research Implementation
      • Collect and analyze data from primary and secondary source data
      • Input data into existing templates and verify the accuracy of data
      • Identify trends and provide analyses of competitors’ products and services, market share and market strategies
    • Research Analysis
      • Prepare initial reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating findings into clearly written text
    • Case Study Development
    • Database Maintenance
    • Provide support in additional ad hoc projects as needed
  • Business Development
    • Research and strategize to identify prospect list for university partnerships
    • Create templated emails by degree category and university type/size
    • Email outreach via sales rep emails to create initial interest with prospective universities
    • Perform quality assurance tasks related to data housed within Salesforce CRM and collaborate with team to recommend CRM best practices
    • Provide support in additional ad hoc projects as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

  • Marketing, advertising, business or statistics major or related preferred
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills and high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skilled at working independently and as part of a team
