Product design at SwipeSense: The Product Design team at SwipeSense plays a key role in ensuring that the right problems are solved in the right way, based on real insights and data. Our process is fundamentally human-centered, relying on regular and frequent input from our users and customers. The Product Design team at SwipeSense is the definitive owner of our user experience across all touch points and is responsible for creating interactions that consistently delight our users.

Primary Role:

Product Design Interns at SwipeSense are responsible for executing on a specific project related to our Hand Hygiene or Asset Tracking products. The project will require effective collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Engineering and Design, and conclude in a presentation to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Design Interns will focus on 2-3 of the below areas depending on their selected projects and interests:
    • Create and execute a detailed user experience research plan including primary, secondary research, and recommendations.
    • Create and iterate on low-fidelity mock-ups to rapidly testy and evaluate concepts resulting in an MVP or v1 design direction.
    • Create interface specifications and high-fidelity production assets.
    • Create marketing pieces related to new product or features such as animations, illustrations, presentations, email templates.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing MFA or BA in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Portfolio demonstrating research, user experience, UI and visual design skills, with particular depth in one area.
  • Experience with data visualization, interface design and user centered design process a plus
  • Experienced with design software for creating mock-ups, wire frames, prototypes and production assets.

*Internship timing is flexible with an ideal candidate available May-June for approximately 8 weeks.
