New Stack Ventures is seeking a Summer Intern for 2020. This individual will be responsible for assisting the General Partner and his team with the following:

• Limited Partner ‘LP’ Management:
  • Assisting the General Partner with all aspects of qualification and targeting in fundraising efforts.
• Dealflow evaluation:
  • Applying pre-filters, evaluation criteria and meeting with founders.
• Series A strategy for Portco's:
  • Creation of next round fundraising strategy for our investments.
• Deal Management:
  • “Quarterbacking” the deal process.
  • Review, edit and supplement deal investment thesis.
  • Work with investment partners, lawyers, AngelList, Assure and syndicate members during the startup investment process.

This is not a traditional role at a venture capital firm. The candidate will not be reviewing business plans/pitch decks exclusively. The candidate will have exposure to all aspects of a firm: branding, sourcing, raising and investing. The internship is unpaid.

Prospective candidates should have the following characteristics:

• Comfortable connecting with partners over email and phone
• Strong networking and sales skills
