IVR Software Engineer

What you can expect to be doing:
As an IVR Application Development Software Engineer you will be developing next generation Interactive Voice Response application solutions using the latest frameworks and tools. As a member of the Engineering team, you will design, develop and deploy application solutions for the company's expanding list of clients using advanced call processing, speech and network technologies.
Primary technical skills include:
- Computer Science / Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience as a software developer
- 2+ years' experience with C / C++
- A strong understanding of Object Oriented software development techniques
- Proven track record of developing high quality software
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate with developers, executive managers and external customers
- Effective time-management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and passion about quality of work, desire to learn and take ownership
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux/OSX
Experience in the following is preferred but not necessary:
- Experience with Jenkins or other build server
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Experience with SQL Server or other databases
- Scripting experience in Shell (bash, zsh, etc.) as well as in Python or Perl
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations for carrier-grade, highly-available services.
