Responsible for overseeing the review, interpretation, and dissemination of current and proposed Cayman Islands Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and regulations. Provides consultation and advice to partners regarding AML compliance and risk avoidance. Serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

1. Serves as Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Northern Trust Cayman legal entities.

2. Provides support and functional knowledge as it relates to compliance with applicable Cayman AML laws, rules and standards.

3. Advises business partners, including senior management, on Compliance programs and applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards, including keeping them informed of developments or changes that may affect their area.

4. Participates in establishing written guidance on the appropriate implementation of Cayman AML Compliance programs and laws, regulations, rules and standards, through policies, procedures and other AML-related documents.

5. Identifies, measures, and documents AML Compliance risk to enhance Compliance risk assessments and assess the appropriateness of the company's Compliance procedures and guidelines.

6. Participates in internal audits and external regulatory examinations.

7. Identifies situations which may pose significant Compliance risk and guides management in developing policies and/or procedures that minimize risk.

8. Interacts with business partners, regulators, and internal and external auditors on regulatory topics.

9. Provides training to internal partners on Cayman AML matters.

10. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of AML Compliance risk avoidance.

Knowledge/Skills• Knowledge of Cayman Islands AML and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory requirements as they apply to apply to individual and institutional clients, including funds and fund servicing. • Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.• Uses a collaborative approach to work.

Qualifications • 5-7 or more years' experience, preferably in Compliance or risk management; or equivalent related experience. • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, acquired through formal education and work experience.• Analytical and communication skills are necessary to consult with and communicate information; to analyze and summarize information; and to apply laws and regulations to the Company's business.• CAMS Certification preferred.
