Could this be you?
As a Legal Counsel on our team, you will work in partnership with our legal team on a variety of projects including on, negotiating commercial agreements, drafting legal documents and policies, and tracking intellectual property documents, among other tasks. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated interest and experience in practicing health law and should possess strong self-starter credentials with excellent writing, communication, and client-relations skills.
How you can make a difference
- Draft, manage and monitor all necessary documents for company commercial contracts,
- Support intellectual property tasks including inventory of assets and monitoring of filings;
- Draft legal documents and company policies;
- Work collaboratively with members of the legal team and with other departments at VillageMD
- Provide clear, succinct, and actionable written advice to key executive stakeholders that reflects full understanding of the pertinent operations
- Monitor, update, document and enhance legal operations tools and resources for clients including use of analytics, matter management and actionable reporting
- Develop innovative ways to communicate effectively with the organization to achieve compliance goals

- Shown experience performing under pressure in an extremely fast-paced and constantly evolving environment with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through strong communication and doing what you say you will do
Experience to drive change
- Doctorate Degree in Law
- 1-2 years of experience as an attorney and an interest in in health care, insurance, or health related technology
- Attorney licensed to practice law issued by the state on Illinois
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and other stakeholders.
