Overview

The role of the Marketing Manager is to partner with Studio 1847’s sales and strategy teams on high level strategy and innovation focused on the client buying process and revenue growth. Studio 1847 is tronc’s owned and operating branded content and events studio. Servicing all 10 tronc properties, the Marketing Manager develops insight driven, multi-market content and solutions for our customers that drive revenue. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of strategic themes and big ideas
• Manage and execute multi-market work and revenue-producing media proposals for all tronc properties under Studio 1847
• Proactively provide content marketing and event trends, category insights and data points that position our studio as a leader
• Lead the development of visually-appealing core, customized and template sales collateral
• Ensure strategic consistency in all materials
• Strong digital acumen and familiarity of the digital media landscape
• Attend staff meetings and client sales calls
• Work with our Sales and Marketing partners in a collaborative fashion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
• Marketing experience creating integrated marketing program recommendations
• 4+ years of experience with media research resources, capabilities and limitations (Scarborough, CLARITAS, MRI, Kantar)
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft suite, including PowerPoint and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookup functionality)
• Ability to accurately do advanced media math concepts
• Strong innovative and a creative-thinker
• Strong communication, collaboration, presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain flexible with daily tasks
• Detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate leadership ability and a positive attitude
• Ability to commute to alternative locations as needed
