We’re looking for an Art Director with agency experience and has a passion for online – a person who understands how to open up a dialogue between the consumer and the brand. You need to be a well-rounded designer, able to quickly grasp our brand and apply it to our multi-disciplinary ventures, implementing and executing mind-blowing ideas. You should have a minimum of 3+ years experience and be a self-starter with the ability to thrive in our highly analytical but fun organization. You also need a team-first mentality with the understanding that you will be asked to do a little bit of everything. Reporting to our Associate Creative Director, you will work closely with our marketing and product teams to help create online and offline advertising, TV and videos, outdoor campaigns, social media content, experiential and stunts, and other consumer and trade materials in both B2B and B2C environments.
Job responsibilities
- Help create online and offline advertising, TV and videos, outdoor campaigns, social media content, experiential and stunts, and other consumer and trade materials in both B2B and B2C environments. You will continuously challenge yourself to make our communications better and more engaging, demonstrating design integrity in your work, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure all visual communications are true to the GrubHub brand.
- Work with creative and marketing teams to help develop concepts that are both strategic and wildly creative.
- Have a willingness to pitch in wherever and whenever you’re needed. We’re a nimble team, and you must be willing to dive in.
Who you are
- Have 3+ years of practical, relevant experience in designing and developing print and online marketing materials. Interactive experience is a requirement.
- Have a design-related degree (or equivalent).
- Have worked in a group environment with several stakeholders and departments, including designers, writers, and account leads.
- Have a good understanding of the goals of a commerce driven web site.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate clearly and be able to work in a very fast and fluid environment.
- Extremely proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign backed up by a solid understanding of print processes. Multimedia/Video/film experience a big plus.
- Experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery, & Flash a plus but not your focus.
- Possess a ridiculous sense of humor.
