Job Title: Communications Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL
The Communications Specialist will support copywriting for the Marketing team (social posts, blog content, email communication, video scripts, etc.). They will report to the Director of Integrated Marketing & Social Impact.
Skills and Competencies
  • 0 - 2 years of communications or marketing experience
  • Degree in Marketing, Digital Media, PR, journalism or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to write concise, engaging and informative copy in the OH brand voice.
  • Experience writing for both print and digital mediums
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments
  • Must be exceptionally organized. Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Must have basic knowledge of Wordpress, Google Analytics, SEO and HTML
  • Flexibility. It’s crucial for the individual in this role to be comfortable changing courses quickly and efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proactive doer with a “roll up sleeves” mindset. Ability to work autonomously and take the initiative to identify work that needs to be done and ways to support the team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Align with the Sr. Director of Integrated Marketing and the Dir. of Integrated Marketing to contribute to marketing plans, programs and communications that support business objectives and bring the Outcome Health brand to life across multiple channels 
  • Assist with external email communications by drafting content, managing mailing lists, distributing and tracking engagement
  • Monitor SEO platform to capture real-time feedback on site optimization and rank
  • Leverage SEO knowledge to develop blog articles to support content marketing and assist with keeping fully optimized
  • Develop and execute content for Outcome’s social media channels to support communications objectives in alignment with overarching editorial calendar
  • Help generate employee-contributed content for “Inside Outcome” Medium site
  • Serve as the Marketing team’s Project Manager to ensure we’re tracking and achieving team KPI’s
