Do you enjoy overseeing a number of communication responsibilities, from blog management to corporate and internal communications, email communications, webinar content and more?
Join Yello as a Content and Communications Specialist to be part of a team that drives the company’s story and increases the organization’s position in the HR and technology industries. The Content and Communications Specialist will work across the organization, as well as with clients and industry contacts, to identify and tell compelling stories, and equally important, to share these stories both externally and internally.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Network across the organization to seek out and produce articles that highlight customer, industry and influencer stories. These may include articles for clients/Yello leadership, influencer/client interviews and thought leadership on current trends.
- Manage the publishing calendar, freelance writer assignments and editorial standards for the Yello blog. Working with the Content and Communications Manager, assign, review and edit all content for the blog, adhering to brand voice and editorial guidelines.
- Create opportunities to amplify content through: PR activities (e.g. direct pitching of original research, identifying opportunities for contributed articles), collaboration with industry experts, analysts, influencers and clients, as well as guest-posting.
- Working with the Social Media Manager, become an advocate for the content team by establishing an internal communication strategy to share marketing content with employees and build brand advocates.
- Collaborate with events and acquisition marketing to ideate on webinar topics, produce webinar presentations, and edit lead-gen content assets with a critical eye.
What We're Looking For
- Expert writer and storyteller with a passion for identifying interesting storylines. Comfortable interacting with company and client executives to seek out stories.
- Experience working with the media. Understands proactive identification of earned placements, as well as reactive management.
- “News junky” who enjoys staying up-to-date on industry trends, issues and topics
- Highly organized individual who follows up and follows through, never letting details go unfinished or forgotten.
- Ability to review and assess writing with a critical eye. Able to both make suggestions for improvement and draft compelling original copy to drive engagement.
- WordPress experience and familiarity with AP style preferred
