Position at Community Brands

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

Community Brands is a software company that helps organizations achieve social good. Through our technology, we help more than 100,000 associations, nonprofits, schools, faith-based organizations, and partners grow stronger and achieve their missions. Like our clients, our nearly 2,000 employees strive to improve the world in which they live, and we believe that technology plays an important role in that. We are techies and volunteers who dream big and are motivated by more than just a cool job (though that’s a great perk we offer too). The Community Brands culture is one where employees can pursue this passion as part of their profession, and we’re looking for great employees to join us!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We’re expanding our team and are looking for a Content Marketing Manager / Copywriter to join the event fundraising marketing team at Community Brands. The team is driving engagement with donors through technology, and mobile giving and fundraising is an exciting space to be in. We’ve recently made acquisitions in this area of our business, and your voice will help us bring a more unified story to clients. This role reports to the Head of Marketing for event fundraising.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

You’ll play an important role in developing content focused on full-funnel B2B software-as-a-service (SaaS) marketing – awareness, engagement, lead generation, closed/won deals, adoption, renewal, and upsell/cross-sell. This largely includes writing blogs, web copy, collateral, emails, research reports, buyer’s guides, case studies, ad copy, and similar resources. The role will likely involve frequent interaction with our marketing agency as you jointly create, publish, and distribute content.

If you’re experienced with – and good at – concise writing, you’ll enjoy this role. Keep a copy of Strunk & White’s “The Elements of Style” by your nightstand? Passionate about discussions regarding Oxford commas, vague pronoun references, and misused words? Follow the Content Marketing Institute and other content influencers on social media? All signs this might be a good fit!

For 2018, you’ll help to refresh existing content and assets with an updated brand design system; create new content to drive awareness, engagement, interest, and desire with existing and prospective clients; and analyze and fill content gaps at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom of the sales funnel.

The position is ideally suited for candidates who have broad B2B marketing experience; thrive on digital content; are metrics-focused; and who strive for quantifiable results that help the business succeed. As a team, we’re focused on achieving higher engagement and conversion rates, improved searchability, and better campaign performance. We operate in a fun, fast-paced, diverse work environment, and there are many opportunities to grow your career within the organization.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferably in writing disciplines (Journalism, English, Social Sciences).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-3 years of marketing experience, 5+ years preferred. Technology, SaaS, and/or E-commerce experience desired. Very proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Salesforce, WordPress, and Marketo experience a plus.
