As Digital Asset Specialists, we are responsible for maintaining the organization and accessibility of all imagery, photography, videos, marketing collateral, and copy. Our DAM system is the key to surfacing Groupon’s content to the site via people and internal tools. In order to sustain functionality and efficiency, our library requires ongoing and strategic maintenance, as well as agile adaptability and scalability. We collaborate with internal partners and project managers to make all content accessible and usable, while strategizing creative and operational big-picture initiatives. DAM is at the heart of Groupon content.

Responsibilities:

  • You will manage uploads, metadata and organize all assets within the DAM in real time
  • Manage all administrative functions of the DAM system including: Users & Permissions, Metadata, and Keyword Taxonomy as well as 3rd party stock console including users, groups, and allotted credits
  • Provide usage reports and feedback to external vendors, including stock providers
  • Keep organized and up to date ensuring all users have access to all assets needed based on permissions
  • You will inform and optimize standard operating procedures for all users, including file naming policies, content uploading requirements and content archiving processes;
  • Research and propose improvements to policies guided by new technology trends
  • You will be proactive and show initiative in improving efficiencies
  • Facilitates retrieval of previously cataloged images, video, collateral, and copy
  • Archive or delete assets as necessary
  • Generates asset download reports
  • Maintains accurate procedures and records for the system
  • Provide support in all DAM projects both large and small scale
  • You will play a vital role in the overarching goal of creating a useful library which drives quality and efficiency

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts or Information Sciences preferred, related degrees considered
  • 1+ year of Digital Asset Management experience
  • Experience with SEO and/or marketing file management preferred
  • Experience managing assets or working with information technology systems
  • Mac proficient with expertise in Adobe and Google Suites software, especially spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective problem solver able to assess and adapt to changing priorities and strategies in a fast paced environment
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Prioritizes, sets and maintains deadlines
  • Self-motivated, comfortable working both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Stays in-tune with current and emerging visual and digital asset management trends
  • Excellent communicator, welcomes feedback and is open-minded to differing viewpoints
