Productive Edge, a Chicago-based Digital Strategy and Technology Agency, is looking for an established thought leader to serve as our Digital Marketing Solutions Director.  You will be a member of a high-performing team focused on delivering custom digital marketing solutions to clients. This is a unique opportunity to build a top-notch digital marketing consulting business for one of the leading names in the tech industry.
The Digital Marketing Solutions Director will develop PE's singular value proposition in this space by defining solutions, approaches, and key differentiators. As a thought leader, you will develop online content, represent PE at industry events, and create best practices, processes and offerings to drive customer engagement. This position will lead customer workshops to help customers translate strategic business objectives into actionable digital marketing tactics and strategies, and provide a roadmap for digital marketing execution. Digital marketing tactics must be aligned to either Sitecore or Adobe DXP platform.

The Digital Marketing Solutions Director will be responsible for all aspects of business development, including: initial customer engagements; managing lead handoffs from marketing; qualifying leads; creating customer-centric proposals and solutions; and closing opportunities. You will manage your own pipeline and work with our marketing team to drive Go To Market strategies and campaigns for PE’s Digital Marketing consulting business. This position works closely with other PE practice leaders to cross-sell and upsell digital marketing solutions, and builds relationships with sales teams of companies like Sitecore, Adobe, Magnolia and Liferay to drive business development.

To excel in these daily activities, the Digital Marketing Solutions Director will make use of the following skills:

  • Ability to create compelling proposals and Statements of Work (SOW), and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP) from prospective clients.
  • Expertise in planning, designing and optimizing digital marketing, customer experience, and business performance programs
  • Ability to assist mid-market to large organizations with strategic, marketing, financial, organizational, process and technology aspects of omnichannel customer experience management.
  • Understanding of big/smart data, advanced online analytics, online profiling, personas, rules-based and predictive personalization, engagement automation; as well as Commerce, social media, DMP, and CRM integration. 
  • Ability to communicate with CMOs and other Operational leaders around strategic business objectives and aligning digital marketing tactics


The Digital Marketing Solutions Director will also need the following professional experience:

  • 5 Years Digital Marketing Experience
  • Healthcare, Insurance, Banking, Retail or Manufacturing Industry experience preferred
  • Hands on knowledge of at least one leading DXP platform - Sitecore, Adobe or Magnolia
  • Experience selling and running digital marketing consulting projects
  • Solution Sales experience
