Job Description
The Director of Digital Customer Experience will develop a digital strategy to attract and nurture customers, while contributing to revenue generation. Working in tandem with the UX, product marketing, and lead-generation marketing teams, the Director of Digital Customer Experience will focus on optimization and growth of our digital self-service customer path. This individual will report on key success metrics, including online engagement through website optimization, conversion rates, and sales revenue.
This individual will achieve the above by collaborating with senior management, internal teams, direct reports, brand founders, and our customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Digital Experience team; coach direct report(s) to help them achieve digital marketing goals
- Manage sales across all web properties and continuously improve online sales performance
- Assess daily, weekly, and monthly performance and provide regular performance updates
- Proactively identify, implement, and measure tests to optimize effectiveness of specific web pages and overall sales performance
- Manage digital content and optimize UX
- Regularly assess competition and maintain differentiated advantages
- Work with product marketing teams on new features and functionality
- Partner with analytics to analyze online campaign funnel performance and results analysis
- Communicate web sales performance and priorities via monthly presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or relevant marketing experience; MBA is a plus
- 7+ years of experience in ecommerce and digital sales
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
- 5+ years of experience managing a team, as well as the ability to work independently
- Extensive experience with web analytics, including Google Analytics, Google Tags, and/or Google Optimize
- Extensive web development experience, including advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Experience with content management and UX; experience with WordPress and React is a plus
- Superior project, time, and budget management skills
- Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong leadership skills and team-orientated
- Strong sense of urgency and results-oriented
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and intellectually curious
- Highly analytical and strategic; critical thinker
- Extremely organized with attention to detail
