About Code Platoon
Code Platoon is a non-profit coding bootcamp that prepares US military veterans and military spouses for careers in software development. Each full time training session is 14 weeks long, and we have 3 sessions each year. In 2020, we are running our first part-time program, which will feature the same curriculum over 35 weeks. Students participate in either program in-person through our Chicago classroom or remotely across the country and around the world.
We are currently training our 11th cohort of students in Python, Javascript, and job readiness skills including resume writing and interview skills. After the classroom portion is complete, many of our students will be matched with a sponsor company for a 3 to 6 month paid internship. We have graduated 85 veterans and military spouses to date, with an 80%+ job placement rate due to our small class sizes, industry volunteers, and excellent instruction.
Code Platoon’s community includes other instructors, volunteers, staff, and active board members who will be there to support you
