As part of achieving this goal, the Marketing team is the expert in telling our organization’s story in a consistent and disciplined way and creating the tools necessary for our employees and partners to consistently support and amplify our brand message.

This newly created role will be a leader on the marketing team. The core responsibilities will include championing the VillageMD and Village Medical brands, owning target understanding, developing annual brand reviews, and creating annual plans that achieve both business-to-business and business-to-consumer acquisition and retention goals.

While this role will be dynamic in nature, key responsibilities of the Director of Marketing will include:

  • Translate the business strategy into actionable and measurable brand plans that are grounded in business analytics and consumer insights
  • Define and articulate what differentiates VillageMD and Village Medical and align all brand touch points around their core equities
  • Provide patient-centric and physician-centric views in all strategic thinking and serve as the voice of the consumer and physician to internal partners
  • Partner with Operations, market leaders, Technology, Business Development, and Talent to implement marketing strategies and tactics to meet business needs
  • Stay abreast of trends, innovations, and competitive messaging that could drive new opportunities or pose threats to VillageMD/Village Medical brand health
  • Oversee primary and secondary research to understand/leverage/address perceptions as they relate to various aspects of VillageMD/Village Medical and their competitors
  • Oversee the relationship with the advertising agency, promotional agency and other partners
  • Continue to develop and maintain the brand style guides
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the marketing department through process change and/or new tool/services
  • Manage the annual budget
  • Develop effective materials to:
    • Support business development efforts to recruit physicians and physician practices
    • Support launch of new clinics
    • Grow and maintain volume at Village Medical and Village Medical at clinics
    • Build awareness/drive conversion to Village Medical at Home

What you bring to VillageMD:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing and/or advertising experience
  • Healthcare marketing experience preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven understanding of brand development, brand positioning, brand character, brand architecture, brand standards and creative development
  • Experience evaluating creative (design, advertising, digital) and providing strategic direction; possess strong creative sensibility balanced with analytical and strategic grounding
  • Strong understanding of consumer research and how to translate it into actionable/usable strategies
  • Can synthesize complex issues intro straight-forward strategies and actions
  • Proven project management skills evidenced by the ability to effectively deliver flawless executions, coordinate staff, multiple vendors and resources, meet deadlines and adhere to budgets
  • Hands on approach, including strong command of details
  • Ability to persuade, influence and inspire through verbal and written communication and at all levels of the organization
