About the Role
The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for the development and directing of the entire Marketing Department. The Director of Product Marketing's role is to synthesize market, consumer, product, and competitive inputs into driving the highest possible revenue for the business.
The role of the Director of Product Marketing involves performing activities such as product strategy and analysis, product positioning to target consumers, sales messaging development, competitive analysis, and product differentiation, among others. This role is collaborative and incorporates some sales enablement activities, for example, creation of sales tools, communication, and training.
The Director of Product Marketing is usually a person with vast experience in product marketing roles with specific expertise in the areas of pricing, positioning, and packaging. They will also be a great communicator and understand intimately the details and nuances of the product's market, buyer personas, and be able to deliver the business results in terms of sales.
What You'll Do

  • Develop product positioning, messaging and communications strategy to successfully build product awareness, and drive product growth
  • Communicate the value proposition of products to all go-to-market teams and ensure that effective marketing support materials are created
  • Create marketing activities to support cross-sell, broad market, and partnership programs across a variety of marketing channels
  • Follow necessary controls, policies, procedures, business rules, and reports to ensure that product promises are delivered
  • Ensure effective control of marketing results and takes corrective actions to meet marketing objectives and requirements
  • Develop and continuously iterate on Key2Act's product positioning, value propositions and messaging that inspires and differentiates Built from competition
  • Develop GTM launch templates for customers, customer-facing teams, prospects, and sales to ensure launch completeness, consistency, success - and constant optimization
  • Ensure marketing program strategy and tactics are aligned to our buyer journey and brand to increase revenue-generating adoption and upsell opportunities
  • Create sustainable and scalable working systems for the product marketing team
  • Create and manage resources that will be delivered in conjunction with our sales enablement function to ensure our sales team can confidently position a product's differentiated value to the market
  • Lead market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the market internally with Product Management and Technology, with a focus on Messaging and Customer communications
  • Partner effectively with Product Management and Channel Marketing to lead world-class product marketing communications
  • Coach and leads employees
  • Provide feedback and direction on both marketing strategies and leadership behaviors
  • Build and enable a team of product marketers to own, grow and scale product adoption, launch new products, and perfect product-market-message fit for Key2Act
  • Effectively manage cross-functional implementation of product marketing plans and establish best practices around PM by living at the intersection of sales, product management and marketing
  • Create, update, and store all product-specific content and collateral library that will be leveraged by internal and external-facing teams to help Built In effectively showcase customer's success
  • Establish and optimize marketing support and processes for partners. Create messaging, value propositions and content to drive brand awareness, increase product adoption and fuel demand generation
  • Organize, develop, and mentor a high-performance team of managers and individual contributors in the product marketing function
  • Define, build, and execute the strategy for product positioning and messaging that resonates with the market and key buyer and user personas
  • Contextualize products in the competitive landscape and enable sales to differentiate Key2Act's solutions
  • Lead the development of compelling assets that communicate the product's value and support lead generation and conversion efforts


What You Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Information Technology, Engineering, or any other related field
  • At least 10 years' experience in Marketing or any other related field
  • Experience in product positioning, pricing, and packaging
  • Experience in the creation and execution of highly detailed go-to product market plans

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
