This position is responsible for strategic growth and product development strategy, including the development and execution of marketing plans and business strategies to build market awareness and drive revenue for HIMSS product lines and brands. Responsibilities include partnering with product management and sales teams to ensure effective customer targets and product messaging; development and implementation of product, market, channel, target, and promotional strategies; development of metrics to measure performance, competitiveness and product trends in the marketplace and development of strategies based on metrics, research and analysis.
Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain effective relationship with external marketing agency and direct their scope of work not limited to market research and the development marketing plans rooted in the HIMSS's overall product marketing strategy
  • Develop product marketing programs to reach new customers through creative ideas and marketing strategies based on analysis, customer data and ROI.
  • Support the Product Management team with executing the product roadmap with input from customer data and market trends to align HIMSS value proposition with product category solutions
  • Formulate and execute the global product-marketing strategy, including product positioning and content creation.
  • Manage staff and orchestrate their activities in the development and implementation of marketing plans and activities that support.
  • Understand and define buyer personas and articulate and apply them in a relevant manner across all sales tools and marketing content
  • Collaborate closely with sales to understand the go-to-market motions to create powerful sales collateral and tools including webinars, pitch/demo presentations, sales kits, brochures, ads, ePushes, white papers, case studies, etc.
  • Support marketing automation team in driving campaigns by providing information on who's the target; what's the message; what's the ROI; what's the business outcomes we're driving.
  • Conduct market research and recommend strategies and tactics as required.
  • Focus content efforts with campaigns to drive awareness, inbound traffic, and ultimately sales pipeline and revenue


What you will need to be successful:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of product marketing experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating traditional and e-marketing campaigns, sales campaigns, marketing plans and strategies, market research and customer service, including plan development, brand development and management, and list development.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing marketing campaigns;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess relevance of tactics and programs as they relate to business objectives and strategies.
  • Experience working with sales and product leadership to support and enhance product awareness
  • High-level understanding of marketing tools and their use for marketing, marketing analytics, project management and audience engagement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills including ability to create compelling narratives for products and markets
  • Strong team and project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • An ability to comprehend technical data and translate information into actionable messages for specific audiences.
