Job Description

We are seeking a Director of User Acquisition & Engagement to lead the day-to-day development, planning, and execution of user acquisition & engagement strategies for all Virgil properties, including digital marketing, marketing automation, public relations, partnership development, SEO and content marketing. The Director of UAE should be an innovative, analytical thought leader with a growth hacker mentality and deep experience driving high volume traffic. The role includes extensive data analysis and campaign optimization. This leader must develop a deep understanding of our products and job seeker community. The Director of UAE reports directly to the CEO and works cross-functionally with product management, engineering, design, data, and sales.

Required

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or relevant field of study
  • 10+ years performance marketing/user acquisition experience
  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience managing multi-million marketing budgets
  • Experience optimizing across all existing user acquisition channels while developing new and innovative new channels
  • Proven success developing a world-class performance marketing team
  • Developed digital marketing campaigns across multiple ad networks (e.g. Google, Bing)
  • Built display, programmatic, and retargeting campaigns
  • Hit monthly volume and efficiency targets by driving continuous improvement and hypothesis-driven experimentation of new optimization tactics
  • A thirst for victory and a can-do roll up your sleeves attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment, adapting to continually changing priorities and ambitious project timeframes

Preferred

  • Served as main point of contact for multiple ad network and third-party relationships
  • Experience managing public relations
  • Experience working with marketing automation tools (e.g. Marketo, Pardot, etc.)
  • Experience building and managing a content strategy (particularly video-based)
  • Built marketing automation strategy to engage and re-engage users utilizing common platforms such as Marketo, Pardot, Responsys etc.
  • Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Ability and willingness to stay current on the user acquisition landscape, growth trends, best practices, and competitor strategies
  • Led user acquisition optimization of mobile and web platforms
  • Led the research and evaluation of new user acquisition/growth channels
  • Experience working with pivot tables in Excel
  • Experience with data analytics/visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Developed test plans and KPIs for new user acquisition initiatives
