RoomIt by CWT is looking for a creative and innovative Graphic Design Manager.  The Graphic Design Manager will work with the RoomIt Marketing team to support the development of brand and design materials across print, digital and video.  Located in our downtown Chicago office, RoomIt is the recently launched hotel distribution business by Carlson Wagonlit Travel.  This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of this exciting new business and to help shape our future.

This future “RoomIter” will have a successful record of developing ‘break-through’ creative that engages and inspires audiences.  This multi-talented candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments.  This individual should keep up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies and look for ways to incorporate best-in-class trends into his/her designs.  He /she is as comfortable developing an infographic, a sales PowerPoint deck or an animated video.

The Graphic Design Manager will work closely with other integrated marketing members to ensure consistency on tone and voice across all creative designs and materials.

Main responsibilities

• Acts as primary designer for RoomIt to develop and deliver high quality, engaging visual communications that support the brand.
• Collaborates with marketing team to conceptualize and develop impactful creative ideas and designs across all channels including print, web, digital and video.
• Manages design projects from inception through delivery.  Design projects include infographics, ebooks, collateral, website management, video and animation development, PowerPoint designs and decks, sales tools, event support materials, and graphics to be used across social media, web banners and emails.
• Develops and managing graphics and imagery to be used in all materials.  Develops and recommends photo and image strategy to differentiate and brand company.  May be involved in photoshoots.
• Develops creative designs to support brand building and awareness generation while maintaining brand consistency.  Makes recommendations on the continued evolution of the brand.
• Ability to translate concepts into creative design that embody company persona.
• Develops materials for multiple external and internal audiences.
• Develops and maintains brand guidelines.
• Develops, fosters and manages relationships with outside creative agency contacts as needed.
• Ability to write a creative brief and execute a vision from a brief.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Travel may be up to 5%

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree graphic design, visual studies or design-related field
• 5+ years’ experience working in graphic design within an advertising agency or in-house environment.
• Highly experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere and /or After Effects)
• Experience using Content Management Systems; Adobe Experience Manager and WordPress
• Knowledge of video editing, animation and motion graphics.  Experience in developing storyboards.
• Must have strong experience managing design projects form inception to production
• Experience in HTML and CSS
• Excellent PowerPoint skills
• Knowledge of printing process
• Excellent PowerPoint skills
• Strong knowledge of branding and design trends
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills.
