Upwork’s Lifecycle Marketing team is responsible for developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns that grow the use of our work marketplace by both independent talent and clients. The team is focused on using technology to create impactful and personalized experiences through email, and expanding our capabilities to include push notifications, SMS, and in-product messaging. We’re evolving how we market to talent and clients, and the Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be joining at a pivotal time. We have ambitious plans to create a world class customer experience, and this role has the opportunity to guide our lifecycle strategy and bring it to life.

Your Responsibilities:

• Become an expert in our customer journeys and a strong advocate for our audience to ensure the best customer experience across our channels
• Develop strategy for multi-channel customers journeys that drive business goals and improve the customer experience; once kicked off, manage campaigns end-to-end  
• Report on campaign insights to understand business impact and inform future channel optimization; partner with Analytics team to opportunity size campaigns
• Oversee daily operations of digital channels, along with overall workflow
• Work with cross functional teams to develop and iterate on campaigns that meet business objectives while also supporting our lifecycle marketing strategy
• Incorporate storytelling opportunities that connect customers to the Upwork brand

What it takes to catch our eye:

• A background creating impactful email marketing campaigns, with multi-channel experience 
• Experience creating lifecycle marketing campaigns in the staffing industry, at a marketplace company, or for a large brand
• Experience using, Braze, Tealium or other modern ESPs/CDPs 
• Strong project management, attention to detail, and communication skills 
• Adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities, as well as improving processes
