POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Manager, Digital Optimization & Insights plays an integral part within the Digital Site Experience team. Working closely with fellow teammates in Digital/eCommerce and cross divisional partners, this role will lead development, prioritization and execution of the Digital Optimization roadmap. This manager will lead our web analytics team to drive understanding of guest behavior and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience. Leveraging our full suite of tools and vendor partners, you will lead execution across site personalization, site marketing/merchandising and A/B testing for ULTA.com and our native apps.  

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own, develop and maintain the Digital Optimization roadmap for delivering personalized site marketing & merchandising experiences.
  • Drive the conception, design and execution of A/B tests to optimize the digital site experience for Ulta.com and native apps for iOS & Android.
  • Refine processes for creation, intake and evaluation of hypotheses into a prioritized backlog.
  • Manage the digital site personalization engine (Qubit) and integrate capabilities to enhance the digital site experience for the guest.
  • Lead the web analytics team and develop a foundation to understand guest behavior across digital channels.
  •  Establish analytics reporting to effectively communicate guest behaviors and benchmarking across all levels of the organization.
  • Work in close collaboration with our merchandising, brand marketing, personalization, product, UX, Design & IT teams.
  • Manage teams/vendors to execute digital experiences.
  • Key liaison for 3rd party tools and agencies supporting Digital Site Experience, including personalization and web analytics tools.

 

 


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) preferred in Business, MIS, Marketing, Technology or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics, conversion rate optimization and/or A/B testing
  • Strong background and understanding of digital analytics tools (incl. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar analytics tool)
  • Experience using testing & optimization tools (incl. Qubit, Optimizely, Adobe Test & Target or similar toolset)
  •  Solid working knowledge of personalization capabilities and techniques in the digital space
  •  Experience in retail or CPG industry a plus
  •  Demonstrated ability to quickly flex between longer term strategic thinking and day-to-day execution of the roadmap
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
  •  Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Exceptional organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple initiatives, meeting deadlines, prioritizing appropriately and responding to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude
