Marketing Automation Specialist
Don Johnston Incorporated builds reading and writing tools for education used by nearly two million K-12 students. We’re seeking the right person to join our team in the NW burbs (Volo) as a Marketing Automation Specialist.
In your role as Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for key marketing activities from segmenting lists, setup, launch, to setting and tracking KPIs. Job Responsibilities
Work with teams to translate sales and marketing goals into KPIs and track through our marketing automation system (Act-On) and CRM (Salesforce)
Conduct an assessment of our key marketing platforms (Act-On, Wordpress, and Salesforce) and identify opportunities for improvement (technical, operational, and process improvements)
Design and manage the marketing infrastructure and customize the marketing automation platform including lead scoring, multi-touch nurture campaigns, profiling, segmentation, workflows and reporting
Develop systems for the lead management pipeline between marketing and sales teams
Build testing frameworks (split testing, deliverability and tracking) for continuous optimization of click-through and conversion rates. Learning from past campaigns to guide future marketing campaigns
Maintain the performance and health of the database through audience segmentation, content, images, send times, list hygiene, deliverability, etc.
Manage email campaigns from planning, targeting, set-up, testing, and deployment.
Coordinate and manage online advertising campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Google AdWords)
Schedule and maintain calendar year of email campaign deliverables.
Develop and manage customer loyalty programs
Set up reporting dashboards and custom reports for campaign performance
Identify and implement opportunities of Salesforce features and capabilities
Merge and modify spreadsheets in Excel for direct mailings
Update and add pages to existing WordPress website
Evaluate and analyze the success of each marketing activity
Work with development partners to implement new capabilities in Salesforce
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Min two (2) years of Salesforce experience.
Min two (2) years of marketing automation experience with setup of triggered and nurture email campaigns. This includes tracking of user preference and behavior for segmentation and one-to-one marketing.
Experience creating emails, landing pages, forms and reports.
Database experience; segmenting, targeting, pulling and scrubbing lists.
Basic HTML; be able to update existing templates with content changes and personalization.
Proficient in email marketing automation programs and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to execute quickly and with high-quality while handling multiple tasks in a fast paced environment requiring project prioritization.
Ability to work across departments and divisions, building consensus and delivering upon stated objectives
