Marketing Event Coordinator
Affinitiv is looking for an experienced Marketing Event Coordinator to drive strategy and execution of the company’s dealer events. This new role is critical to the evolution of Affinitiv’s dealer industry marketing function, focused on growing adoption of our dealer product portfolio through event marketing campaigns that generate product interest and demand.
The Marketing Event Coordinator must be a skilled B2B event marketer who collaborates cross-functionally and executes events that drive sales and pipeline influence for Affinitiv’s dealer sales team. This key role will be responsible for the marketing, management, coordination, and all the logistics of various dealer-facing events and activities.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Marketing, he/she will work closely with account teams, market intelligence, product marketing and industry relations and education to execute successful company dealer events as well as supporting efforts for large auto industry conferences. The ideal candidate would preferably have strong automotive industry event marketing experience, including a supplier network and contacts at national and local industry associations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage sponsorships and presence at industry conferences/events ranging from regional dealer meetings and training sessions to large industry conferences
- Communicate key dates, action items, and updates regularly with project team and stakeholders to ensure on-time execution of event deliverables. (i.e. company personnel, outside vendors/suppliers, and clients)
- Set up detailed project documentation, roles & responsibilities, timelines and budgets with clearly defined goals, expectations and manage post-project reporting
- Manage the production and proof of printed event collateral materials, including emails, social media, ads, and website information
- Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable company policy, regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that may arise
- Manage budget and inventory of printed collateral and event swag
- Manage event logistics including travel arrangements, budgeting, risk management assessment, scheduling outside vendors, and coordination with marketing, sales, and other internal departments
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- 1+ years of marketing and event management
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- Auto industry experience preferred
- Able to multi-task and prioritize with efficiency
- Deadline oriented
- Must be customer service driven and able to problem solve
- Punctual, proactive, and able to take initiative
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present results and project status to senior management
- Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish and delivering successful results
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
