The Marketing Specialist will be our brand ambassador, responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating marketing activities and engagement communications aligned to our business objectives and brand.  This person will support the Sales team and assist in developing new sales opportunities with existing and new customers. Also, this person will ensure that the essence of our company’s mission, vision, and values are represented in everything we do.

This individual reports directly to the Vice President of Industrial Division Sales, with a close working relationship with the President on matters of brand identity and presentation.

What You Get To Do

  • Develop and maintain appropriate marketing materials and ensure brand is on target and the graphics and aesthetics are of the highest quality and standard
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, R&D) to implement the sales business plans, to include new product development, packaging, and collateral
  • Write, proof, design, and distribute internal and external communications
  • Develop programs for social media marketing and brand awareness
  • Assist in the development of strategic marketing plans to meet business objectives aimed at obtaining new sales and growing existing lines
  • Maintain and maximize the use of the Salesforce CRM system
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools in order to translate results into actionable insights for the selling team
  • Coordinate all promotional items for use with employees, prospects, and customers
  • Maintain the annual calendar of events for food shows and promotions
  • Assist HR with recruitment advertising strategies, ad creation, placement, and design
  • Support the sales team with their administrative needs
  • Provide back-up support for sales ordering and customer inquiries

What We Want From You

  • College degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years of B2B marketing experience
  • 1 – 2 years of experience working with social media marketing and postings
  • Salesforce CRM experience desired
  • Experience in the food industry is a plus
  • Excellent graphic design experience using desktop publishing software
  • Experience with digital, print, and content marketing
