The Role

We are recruiting for a new Marketplace Monetization Director. The Marketplace Monetization Director will be responsible for driving the P&L of new revenue sources on our platform Paro.io. Reporting to the CRO, this leader will focus on defining our monetization strategy, evaluating and testing new revenue opportunities, building new capabilities with our product and engineering teams, and managing expert monetization in our marketplace. This leader will be responsible for providing overall business ownership for marketplace monetization focused on building the new revenue channel for expert referrals. A high degree of executive credibility, with a strong and established network within the technology and finance sectors, and previous experience working for a marketplace or background in financial services is preferred. 

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of successfully bringing next-generation products, services and technologies to market. The role requires an individual with a strong combination of strategic thinking and detailed planning and project management as well as the acumen to create relationships with strategic partners.



Overall Goals:

  • Own Revenue KPIs and will plan and execute monetization initiatives that will motivate and encourage the experts to engage with the Paro platform
  • The initial area of focus will be based on working with the experts in the network to create and manage a referral program that allows the experts to expand their team sourced via Paro.
  • Work with an internal team to create the best tools for management, optimization, visualization, and operation, to suit your work.
  • Build the monetization strategy, from a data-driven idea, through a concept, creative implementation, testing, and finally analysis. development of all communication channels, the operational launch of the campaigns, including monitoring its results and analyzing it, all while working closely with the creative, product and data team.



Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage P&L and achieve targets.
  • Develop a strategic plan for step-change growth.
  • Prioritize and manage technology features for platform monetization.
  • Partner with external vendors and retailers to identify integration opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with finance, business development, product and marketing.
  • Set goals, drive and report on business performance.
  • Drive major decisions within a fast-evolving business.



How You’ll Add Value:

  • Strong organizational, influence, and communication skills.
  • Background in running/managing a line of business as GM will be advantageous
  • Strategic thinking along with solid execution skills.
  • Strong understanding of technology and digitization and how it will continue to transform the retail and financial landscape.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, preferably managerial.
  • Proven analytical competencies, data-oriented and comfortable with presenting data.
  • Strong self-learning and analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Ability to generate, manipulate and read data and transform it into actionable insights
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, focus on consumer behavior.
